Custom Wine Label Artwork Specifications
File formats; please provide 3 files of your artwork submission.
*Your raw artwork files (for example, .PSD, .AI, .EPS (with outlined fonts) (do not flatten layers) this is the file the winery uses to print the label.
*PDF file – This file is used to print your label for display at our October 12th event.
*JPEG/JPG file – This file is used for the judge to preview.
*Files submitted must have a minimum 300 dpi resolution.
*Wine Label Dimensions MUST fit on the wine bottle and be able to accommodate the back label provided by the Russian River Winery.
* Please use a guideline of 3.5” x 3.5” as your template, a template is available here.
Printing & Color
* All printing is 4-color CMYK laser printing
*Bleeds are permitted but require crop marks on Designer-provided artwork
*Pantone colors should be specified when appropriate
*Color matching is as accurate as possible within technological limitations but may vary slightly from what is displayed on a computer monitor
*Wine label content describing wine varietals, production year and appellation needs to be designated on your front label design
*Red : Russian River Vineyards, Alcohol 14.5% by volume, Sonoma Coast, Pinot Noir, 2014
*White: Russian River Vineyards, Alcohol 13.9% by volume, Russian River Valley, Sauvignon Blanc 2015
* Inclusion of Russian River Logo; available here.
*Artwork cannot contain copyrighted images or text unless customer owns or has licensed such material.
*You may NOT use any descriptive words, for example: courageous, strong, powerful, survivor, etc.
*Russian River Vineyards and Wine & Design will retain final approval on artwork.
*Artwork should be submitted in electronic form only. (Submission via Dropbox is preferred). Each design firm can submit one design per type of wine.
*Label submissions are due on or before August 20th, 2017. Please send submissions to Kim Darke: email@example.com or Lyndsi O'Donnell: firstname.lastname@example.org via dropbox.
*The final labeled wine product will be presented to the winning design team at the Event on October 12th.
*Design Firm agrees that Russian River Vineyards and Wine & Design reserve the right to use their label on the Russian River Vineyards and Wine & Design website and for other promotional purposes.
Label presentation to the judge will be a blind submission to the judge. Judging is based on the following criteria:

*Incorporating the Event theme: The Power of Pink, Big or Small, Save Them All!
*Adhering to Label Specifications
* Use of Color
